1. Scope and acceptance

Chocon delivers software and services that help families create a safe learning environment through the website, Desktop app and supporting tools.

By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms and any additional policies we publish.

2. Parent accounts and security

Only parents or legal guardians aged 18 or older may create and manage a Chocon account. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• Provide accurate, up-to-date information whenever it changes.
• Keep sign-in credentials and pairing codes secure and limit direct access by children.
• Notify Chocon at hotro@chocon.net immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse.

3. Acceptable use and child protection

You agree to use Chocon for educational purposes and to shield children from harmful content or behaviour. Supervising device usage and coaching children remains your responsibility.

• Do not upload, share or access content that violates the law, promotes violence or harms children.
• Do not attempt to disable, bypass or interfere with Chocon safety controls, whitelists or monitoring.
• Ensure children understand and follow the safe-use rules you configure.

4. Service updates and interruptions

We release feature improvements and security patches on an ongoing basis. Continued use after an update is released indicates acceptance of that update.

Chocon strives for reliable service but may pause availability for maintenance, incident response or legal compliance. We will provide advance notice when reasonably possible.

5. Privacy and data processing

Data collection and use are governed by the Chocon Privacy Policy. By using the service you acknowledge that policy.

You are responsible for obtaining consent from children and other parties before sharing their personal data with Chocon.

• We collect only the data required to operate, protect children and meet legal obligations.
• You can adjust access levels and safety configurations from the parent dashboard.

6. Intellectual property and licence

Chocon, its logos and related software are owned by Chocon Joint Stock Company. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service.

You may not exploit, copy or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

• Do not copy, resell or distribute the installers to third parties.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with Chocon source code or infrastructure.
• Do not use Chocon trademarks in a way that implies partnership or endorsement without approval.

7. Disclaimer and indemnity

Chocon is provided “as is”. We are not liable for damages arising from misuse of the service or illegal activity.

You agree to indemnify Chocon against claims that result from your breach of these terms or infringement of third-party rights.

• Damages caused by altering security configurations beyond recommended limits.
• Use of the service to violate privacy or intellectual property rights of others.

8. Termination and changes

You may stop using the service at any time by unpairing devices and requesting account deletion.

We may suspend or terminate access if we detect a breach of these terms or a safety risk to children.
